WRAL-FM logo  “Bill & Sheri's Celebrity Bell Ring” Brings in Over $11,500 for The Salvation Army

WRAL-FM's " Bill and Sheri Celebrity Bell Ring" continues until Monday, December 20th.

MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM is devoting the entire month of December to helping the local Salvation Army raise funds for their Christmas Cheer Campaign and educating the public about their services.

To aid in this campaign, MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM hosted the “Bill and Sheri Celebrity Bell Ring” on Monday, December 13, 2004.  Local celebrities from all over the community came out to support the drive and keep the bell ringing for twelve hours.  Over $11,500 was collected in the red kettles, along with 150 new toys for needy families in our community.  Before Monday, the highest amount raised in one day by 7 red kettles was $2,500.

“One little bell in your hand can touch thousands of lives,” says Major Al Smith, Commanding Officer of The Salvation Army. “We are grateful to Bill and Sheri and all of the other local celebrities who have now helped us make the holidays brighter for the 15,000 people we will serve this holiday season.”

Thanks to all of the CBCer's who came out to support The Salvation Army this holiday season!  MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM is collecting donations for the local Salvation Army until December 20th .  If you would like to make a donation, please click here.
