A select panel of Franklin County residents was in the spotlight when the WRAListens Tour made a stop at The Person Place on the Louisburg College campus, Wednesday, November 10, 2004. This informal town meeting, facilitated by former WRAL News anchor Charlie Gaddy, brought a diverse group of Franklin County residents together to discuss local issues.

The Franklin Times newspaper, John Vollmer of Vollmer Farms,Laureen Jones with Franklin County Schools, Roxanne Bragg-Cash with the Department of Aging, Rosemary Champion with the county's Homebuilder's Association, Louisburg College professor Alicia Eller, and Garland Elliott with Vance Granville Community College were among the participants who discussed issues, concerns and signs of progress in Franklin County.

The WRAListens Tour is a series of town meetings covering the WRAL viewing area to discuss community issues and how WRAL can address these issues in
daily newscasts and public affairs programming. Each meeting is recorded and edited to air at a later date in the form of a half-hour public affairs program. This Franklin County meeting is scheduled to air on WRAL-TV Saturday, November 27, at 7:30pm . |
